Sedan
Sedan features three box layout with separate engine compartment, passenger cabin and cargo trunk. Sedans are used by people for transportation do not suited for cargo carriage as their trunks typically feature a narrow opening and inadequate space. The advantage of sedan is by the comfort it provides over other types of car with spacious cabin and soundproofing availability. Sedan cars are available in size and class. Sedan car can be classified based on the class and size as executive, luxury, sports sedan mid-sized and full sized. It is most popular type of car used all over the world. Wagon
Wagon is typically built on sedan platform. Wagon is essentially an extend hatch back which features a larger cargo space. Wagons provide the cabin spaces similar to sedans but also feature an increased head space for rear seat passengers and extended roof. Wagon also provides huge trunk space which is easily accessible through rear door. The rear seat row can be folded down to convert it to a van. Audi A4 Avant and Volvo XC70 are some of the examples of wagon.
Crossover
Crossover is also called as CUV (Crossover Utility Vehicle) is a new type of car body with the combination of SUVs and hatchbacks with uni-body construction. Crossovers feature an increased ground clearance and larger wheels. Crossover is equipped with plastic body parts to give off road image. Crossovers have become increasingly popular in Europe since the early 2010s. Some of the best SUV crossovers for 2020 are Honda CR-V, Mazda CX-5, Toyota RAV4, Kia Soul.
SUV
Sport Utility Vehicle is abbreviated as SUV. An SUV is the four wheeled drive which is a powerful vehicle that can be driven even in rough ground. Though it is designed for rough off-road use, it is often used in public roads. SUV features increased ground clearance, large wheels, aggressive exterior design and also provide better off road abilities as they are typically built on sturdy chassis. It has a brutal design. Jeep Cherokee, Range Rover and Mitsubishi Montero are some of the SUV’s commonly used.
Coupe
The term coupe comes from French meaning a cut carriage. Coupe is two door cars with body type based on sedan. Coupe features two or four seat cabin with limited space in the rear row. Honda Civic Coupe, BMW 3-Series Coupe and Ford Mustang are some of the example of coupe.
